Product Composition

Each capsule contains the following active ingredients:

delta-KNX™ sceletium extract
(standardised to 1.25% delta-7-mesembranone)
15 mg
Total alkaloid content: 750 µg
delta-7-mesembranone 188 μg
mesembrine 375 μg
mesembranone 187 μg

Inactive ingredients: Hypromellose (cellulose) vegetarian capsule shell, mannitol (sugar alcohol), silicon dioxide, citric acid, magnesium stearate.

Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool dry place below 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Pharmacological Action

Sceletium appears to have inhibitory effects on the serotonin transporter (SERT). It is thought that this is relevant to supplementation of sceletium as serotonin reuptake inhibitors are used in the treatment of anxiety.

Dosage Directions

Take 1 capsule daily (with or without meals). Dose can be increased to 1 capsule twice daily if needed.

Do not exceed recommended dosages unless on the advice of a healthcare practitioner. Do not use this product if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients. If you are on any medication or suffering from any medical condition, it is advisable to seek medical advice before starting any new medicine, supplement or remedy. This medicine has not been evaluated by the Medicines Control Council. This medicine is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Side Effects

Side effects may include headache, depression or listlessness.


There are no known contraindications.


Antidepressant medicines: Sceletium may increase serotonin levels. Combining sceletium with antidepressants may lead to additive effects and increase the possibility of side effects.
CNS depressant medication: Sceletium is thought to have sedative properties. Combining sceletium with CNS depressant medication may lead to additive sedative effects.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Not safe for use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
